Esports for All

As part of the BBC Digital Cities programme in Manchester, we are delighted to be running an afternoon of esports conversation and networking.

The esports world has exploded in the last few years, with sports clubs assigning esports players, international events integrating esports into their programme, and the expansion of esports into the world of virtual reality and simulation.

At the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games, the IOC President Thomas Bach signalled a way into the programme for esports, where physical activity was prominent and, already, the global competition environment is vast.

Join University of Salford for an afternoon of VR interactivity and demonstrations, networking and discussion with leading esports professionals about the opportunities, trends, and transformations that are taking place to the esports world, the career paths available, and the innovation chain which is leading esports to become an integral part of the digital economy.
